what gauge wiring kit should i get??
I am pushing about 1000 watts through my wires...I use the lowest gauge (biggest wire) i could find, which was 2 gauge. Before, i used 8 gauge power/ground wire and 14 gauge speaker wire. I re-wired my truck with 2 gauge power/ground wire and 8 gauge speaker wire.... MUCH more punch and substantially louder playing levels. I lost lots of power through my previous wiring. Whats the diffrence with more farad capacitors?

Gas Gauge Issues?
The first step would be to attach a jumper wire from the ground stud on the back of the gauge to the sender stud also on the back of the gauge. When you turn the key on your gauge should peg. If it does it's good and if it doesn't the gauge is bad. You must also have 12v at the ignition stud(the only one left)when the key is on. If the gauge checks good then move the jumper wire to jump the studs on the sender, and if the gauge pegs when the key is on your wiring and gauge are both good. Finally...
would 1 2250 amp battery,a 250 amp high output alternator, and a 20 farad cap be good enough for this...?
Assuming the numbers you provide are RMS. With 5600 total watts RMS you will need three 250 amp alternators all custom installed. Don't forget to upgrade the Big 3....

yea thats fine, 2 gauge wire is over kill for any thing under 800 rms. one thing you are going to have to up grade is the ground from your battery to the car body....
