Rockford Fosgate T2 Subwoofer?
My recommendation is that whatever subwoofer brand you buy, you get the same brand of Amp to go with it. You can always go a step up in quality, but not down.
Do the factory Rockford Fosgate Systems in the 06+ Eclipse come with an amp or is it powered by the head unit?
It's 650 watts max. There is a small amp in the sub-woofer enclosure. I don't recommend messing with the system as it is perfectly matched to the car.

you are not comparing the Fosgate sub to the same class alpine sub. the Fosgate 12T1 would be a sub that compares to the alpine. and then to get it to sound the way it should (SQ) you need to match it with a Tseries amp. I have a 10T1 int the trunk o...
